Sequestering more carbon than the rain forest. Being able to celebrate this evening with so many friends to honor the work we do and raise money for the cause is amazing,” said Shanin Molinaro, WELL/BEINGS CMO. Mangroves are the unsung heroes of ocean health, making a holistic impact on animals, people, and the planet.
They absorb 10x more carbon than any terrestrial rainforest and 3-5x more carbon than the rainforest, trap pollutants headed for the ocean, and protect coastal communities from increasing extreme weather like hurricanes and tsunami, while also providing sustainable livelihoods.

What did wELL/BEINGS co-founders have to say?

“Mangroves are one of the most effective nature-based solutions to combating climate change, and most people don’t even know what a mangrove is. At the rate of their destruction, mangroves will disappear and we must all do our part NOW.  I am so proud of our work to protect these mighty marine forests. I’m inspired to see so many help us  to raise money and awareness to protect and conserve mangroves for future generations and can’t wait for my son, Hawk [who is only one], to see them in person when he’s a little older!,” said Amanda Hearst Rønning, WELL/BEINGS Co-founder.

“I am so proud and honored to share the incredible impact mangroves have on our planet and bring such an important cause to NYC. The support from this evening’s event was incredible and will lead to crucial impact for our fight against climate change.,” said Breanna Schultz, WELL/BEINGS Co-founder.
